Preppa ehf. ("Preppa", "we") operates preppa.is and the Preppa mobile app. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it under the GDPR and Icelandic Act No. 90/2018 on Data Protection.
What we collect
Account details you give us — name, email address, phone number and delivery address. Order data — the meals you choose, delivery dates and payment status. Dietary preferences you set, including allergens you ask us to avoid. Technical data such as your IP address and browser, collected only where you have consented to analytics cookies.
Why we use it
To cook and deliver your order, to take payment, to contact you about a delivery, and to keep your account working across the website and the app. We rely on performance of a contract for order handling, and on your consent for analytics and marketing email.
Cookies
Necessary cookies keep you signed in and remember your consent choice; these are always set. Analytics cookies help us understand which pages people use and are only set after you accept them. You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.
Who sees your data
Our payment provider, our delivery drivers (name, address and phone only), and Supabase, which hosts our database within the EU. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for seven years to meet Icelandic accounting requirements. Everything else is deleted within 90 days of you closing your account.
Your rights
You may request a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to processing, or withdraw consent at any time. Email hallo@preppa.is and we will respond within 30 days. You can also lodge a complaint with Persónuvernd, the Icelandic Data Protection Authority.
